Fendt 500 series Front suspension accumulator. Diaphragm accumulator Material: Steel Application and characteristics: The hydro-pneumatic diaphragm accumulators are used by means of a compressible gas cushion (nitrogen) for pressure retention and for impact and pulsation damping. A flexible membrane serves as a separating element between the nitrogen and the hydraulic oil. In case of the welded implementation, the separating membrane is not exchangeable.
